How the heifers were handled:

These heifers are the best siblings of the steers that sold in the Buckingham Cattlemen’s Association Feeder Calf sale in August 2020. In October, Pelvic measurements and Reproductive Tract Scores tests were taken by Dr. Andy Meadows. All the heifers tested negative for BVD-PI. These females meet the Virginia Premium Assured Plus Standards.

Breeding:
Most heifers were Synchronized and bred AI December 12 through December 16, 2020. All AI pregnancies are listed on the Sire Reference Page. All heifers were ultra-sounded pregnant and fetal sexed by Dr. Andy Meadows in Feb/March of 2021.

All heifers sell guaranteed bred on sale day.
Any heifer that shows heat within 30 days after the sale and is found open by an accredited Veterinarian with written documentation, the consignor will refund 100% of the heifer’s purchase price and take possession of the heifer, or the consignor will replace the heifer with another bred heifer per buyer’s choice. If any heifer shows heat within 45 days after the sale and is found open by an accredited Veterinarian with written documentation, the consignor will refund 25% of the heifer’s purchase price provided that written notice is sent to the sale committee no later than 60 days after the sale.
