A $100 "hold" will be placed on the credit/debit card used to register for this auction. This is not a charge but is for verification purposes and should be removed from your card within 72 hours after registering.
Buyers Premium and Sales Tax: The Buyer's Premium of 10% will be added to each successful bid. Virginia sales tax of 5.3% will be charged to all purchases unless the buyer provides a tax exempt form or unless it's a titled item.
Firearms Background Check: All firearms will require a background check and completion of the Federal Firearms License paperwork. This paperwork will be done by Nuckols Gun Works,1301 Barterbrook Rd., Staunton, VA 24401 (Nuckols hours are 9AM-6PM on weekdays, 8-4 on Saturday, closed on Sunday). Buyers must come to the auction location to pay for your firearms and transfer fees then take your paid receipt to Nuckols Gun Works to pick up your gun/s. There will be a $25.00 fee per gun to complete the paperwork.
Payment: Cash, Credit Card (5% Card Fee Applies), Good Check, and Wire Transfer are approved methods of payment. There is a $50 fee for returned checks. Payment must be made in full before items are removed from the auction site and ALL PAYMENTS ARE DUE BY 5:00PM ON FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 19th OR YOUR CARD WILL BE CHARGED FOR YOUR PURCHASES. If payment has not been made by the end of the pickup period credit cards will be charged for the full invoice amount. Items left at the auction location are subject to a $25 per day fee starting on Saturday 9/20/25. Titles (if applicable) may be held until the buyer's check clears our bank. Non-payments (bad checks, credit card disputes, etc.) will be turned over to the Augusta County Sheriff's Dept. and pursued with legal action. The bidder will be responsible for court costs, attorney fees, and any other fees incurred.
Merchandise: All Items are sold AS IS, WHERE IS, WITHOUT GUARANTEE. Descriptions will be as accurate as possible using the information given by the seller and our own findings; we urge you to examine all items carefully and satisfy yourself as to the condition and bid accordingly. Titles (if applicable) are guaranteed for all titled vehicles unless the description states "no title". Ownership of items is considered transferred to the winning bidder at the conclusion of the bidding on each item. If paying by check, titles may be held until check clears.

Bidding: The highest bidder for each item shall be the buyer, and if any dispute arises as to any bidding, or between two or more bidders, the auctioneer will have sole discretion to determine the successful bidder, or the disputed lot shall be offered again at the last undisputed bid and resold. The auction record kept by Auctioneer and Clerk is final.
Owner or Owner's Agent may not bid on his/her own items.

Technical Issues: Neither the company providing the software nor the auction company shall be held responsible for a missed bid or the failure of the software to function properly for any reason. In the unfortunate event of a DDOS attack or server attack/shut down, the auction company reserves the right, but is not required, to extend bidding time. To minimize the chance of being affected by internet or software issues, please use the “Max Bid” feature.
